One of the longest running open mics in Maine. It has experienced some changes over the years but Hoot is still going strong. I am excited to be a part of the hosting rotation! Hope to get a "signup list" going for nights I host, to help with flow between acts, and open up the signups at 6pm. There are a ton of backwoods pickers with huge talent out there that could help make this one of the best around. Leave message if I don't pick up, I am often without coverage when working on the farm. Love to see some new talent take the stage, it makes us all better players to see what others bring to the stage. There is a bass amp, small drum set and a couple of guitar amps to utilize. Guitar amps are Fender Hot Rod III Deluxe and an older Kustom solid-state. Fender was just serviced to replace cheap components Fender starting using, sounds great. Plenty of channels open on PA, two mics will be set up but if you need more we can accommodate. Keyboards can go thru the PA board but you would need to bring your keys. No need to bring an amp with you, it takes up too much time and space. If you just have to have your own amp please call ahead so we can see what needs we can accommodate.
